OVR and Employment related services for adults with Intellectual disabilities and/or Autism
The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, or OVR, provides vocational rehabilitation services to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain or maintain employment. OVR provides services to eligible individuals with disabilities, both directly and through a network of approved vendors. Services are provided on an individualized basis.

LVCIL provides a variety of transition and employment services for youth and young adults with disabilities.

VIA offers a few different programs to help with employment. Referrals for Community Employment Services come from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Office of Developmental Programs, Ticket to Work, Bureau of Autism Services, or Office of Long Term Learning or individuals seeking employment, families, and other sources.

Adaptations is an exciting community engagement program for adults in their 20s and 30s with disabilities. Adaptations provides participants with opportunities to experience the community through various social and recreational activities. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to foster independence in a monthly workshop (e.g., cooking, job skills, dating, social media, money management, etc).
ASLV has a monthly Friday night social group with food, games, karaoke and music. We also have a Monday night social connections group as well as a Creative Abilities program for adults interested in the arts and theater.
CommUnity Club is a social group for young adults with disabilities ages 18+. The club is a great way for young adults to meet new people, build lasting friendships, and learn about independent living. CommUnity Club does lots of fun activities throughout the year, including bowling, karaoke, IronPigs games, game nights, movies, and events in the community.

The Success, Engagement, Education, Determination (SEED) program provides comprehensive “direct” services for students with disabilities interested in college training to master skills in transition, academic, and/or career areas. Education is provided in independent living, socialization, and soft skills. The Life Education Occupational Studies (LEOS) program offered at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus supports students who have intellectual disabilities and developmental delays while they gain meaningful collegiate experiences. The LEOS program combines individualized coaching sessions, group seminars, and audited academic courses to facilitate self-advocacy and independence for students.
